very basic ls vtec conversion question
Recently, I bought a b18b1 swapped 2000 civic ex for dirt cheap. I'm looking to do a pretty basic ls vtec conversion. I wan't to run it on the stock ls bottom. I don't need it to be super reliable, but I don't want it to die on me right away either. Its not my DD, It's just a project car for messing around with. I don't plan on beating on it too hard. Also, if it means anything, the engine currently runs great and only has 95,000 miles on it. I've been searching all night and think I found just about everything I need:
Vtec head
complete Golden Eagle kit
GSR oil and water pumps
GSR timing belt
ARP head studs
ARP rod bolts
Vtec ecu
I also plan on having the redline set at 8k.
Is there anything really important that I'm missing?
Is there a write up on how to do this setup or one similar?

Your going to have to disassemble/rebuild the bottom end to do the arp rod bolts. The rods will have to be re-sized so the bearing end is truly round with the new bolts.

Do you have an obd1 or 2 ecu? If its obd1, you can just add the vtec parts to the ecu and have it tuned rather than buying another ecu.
You also will need a matching intake to the head. They aren't like b20/b18 or all D series where they swap.
