Wait, so you're at 208whp in your hatch and you couldn't pull that RSX-S???
I have a 93 Si w/ 200whp and I've raced my cousins RSX-S w/ basically the same mods(I/H/E/RBC/Cams/K-Pro) and pulled him every time. Dig, 40 roll, 60 roll, etc.
We even switched cars and he'd beat me when he drove mine.

I'd love to see the hatch add some cams, I think the run would be pretty even, maybe the RSX would creep up top but it would be close for sure. Can't wait to see the giggle gas hooked up, gonna hurt some feelings out there for sure....and damn, I need my car back lol, I wanna play too. Good runs

Re: Tune appointment for tomorrow. Expectations?
Results are in!
Had a terrible night of 'oil down' issues at Englishtown last night. only got 2 runs in, not nearly as much practice as i had hoped for on a quiet Wednesday night. It was also my first time playing with a launch limiter. first run bogged, second run wheel hopped.
Both runs were nearly identical ET & Trap with a 14.2x@97.x
On the scales the hatch in full street trim was 2460lbs with my 250 in the drivers seat.
I'll post the slips later.

Re: Tune appointment for tomorrow. Expectations?
yeah, my car was right around 2400ish lbs with me in it and I made alot less HP (on another dyno) then you did and I ran a 14.5 @ 94.88 MPH. On another dynomite dyno i made 160whp with a bisimoto header and when I ran the 1/4 mile I was still on a stock header so prob. more like 140whp, so it seems like xenocron has a pretty high reading dyno at least compared to the one I was using

Re: Tune appointment for tomorrow. Expectations?
the Si Civic chassis is a bit heavier than the CX/DX/VX versions cause of the ABS, power sunroof and more material in the doors etc I think...
I think you will only see the RSX able to pull ont he civic if you need 120mph runs lol...the weight in the RSX is gonna hold it back against the civic night and day...

**** you lighter chassis lol. I would be happy to weigh 2600lbs with me in the car. I ran a 14.7 @ 95.5 weighing probably a good 2800lbs. I'd love to get the car on a diet with plexiglass windows, composite hood, roof, and trunk...but it isn't a strict race car.

Re: Tune appointment for tomorrow. Expectations?
great. thanks for the response. I spent a lot of time reading threw your results while planning this build.
i may do some cams at some point, but the truth is, the car is a riot to drive at this power level. Nitrous should be a simple answer for the few times i take the car out looking for trouble.

The beauty of Hondata is you can turn it on/off as easy as flipping a switch as well!

I just picked up a S300 the other day. Still trying to decide who to have tune it, for simple bolt on's I think a lot of people charge way to ****ing much. A boosted setup is understandable because there are much more factors involved to make that run smoothly.

Re: Tune appointment for tomorrow. Expectations?
When people out of state sit around and try to compare WHP numbers and other cars to their own I just sit and SMH. What if your dyno isn't accurate? Ever thought of that? lol, can't stand people who bitch about dyno numbers...who cares, a dyno is supposed to be used as a TUNING TOOL, not a measuring stick to see who has the biggest ****.

Does a Dynojet read high or does a Mustang dyno read low? How about a Dynapak? It doesnt really matter... Its the changes during the tuning session that matter.
BTW- Thats a nice sounding TL!! Nice runs in "Canada"

Bingo. ID's are the hotness. I know guys running id 1k on na 4 bangers
I personally chose the 725's for overhead and room to grow. More mods incomming as soon as time allow. Trying to make up my mind on cams right now s2s2 or pro1s are in the near future

Ahh cool, cause that size would seem pretty good for E85 right? I had been informed that E85 cars take around 50% more fuel??
Even cams... I wouldn't think you would need over 425cc injectors for ANY NA 4 cylinder unless you were E85... Oh well.

Re: Tune appointment for tomorrow. Expectations?
personally id love to see someone work out a GM flexfuel sensor. my immediate area is covered with the stuff, but id hate to have to go hunting when out of town.

Re: Tune appointment for tomorrow. Expectations?
Get one of the sensors and read the data sheet.. I'm sure you can make some sort of adapter that is right on the fuel rail.
You will need to figure out what the sensor spits out in terms of voltage/resistance and figure out the compensation value this voltage/resistance = this much flex fuel... and the opposite for the other end of the spectrum.
Tuning .... lets just say..... will be annoying
Then figure out which input pin on your ecu is available.... but that's the last of your worries
I'd take on that challenge if someone had a dyno and a car for me to experiment with.. Oh yeah and lots of time
so if you got all those things handy I can help you
