This is a better, more solid starting point. Adjust to minimal clearance then adjust for power based upon track/dyno results. Good luck

My gears differ from the picture posted by DDTECH..
I started with the dot markings pointing at 12.. After rotating counter clockwise, they get upside down like in the picture. Where the valves are the closest.

The picture you posted is 5e/-1i which should be incredibly safe. That's the setting up that made best power for me although I didn't have anymore time to retard the intake more.

i checked my pro 3 clearence when i put my ferrea valves in and I need a minimum of 5 degrees advance on the exh.
with my ferrea rockers and crane cams ive got gobs of clearence at almost any setting.
the cranes only get close at fully advance on intake and fully retard on exh.
