Port and Polished Heads
hey guys! ive been reading around, and one thought that kind of appealed to me was a N/A engine, what does this entail?...how much work should i expect?...How much money?....how much power gain?..i have a 2004 Honda Civic EX....thanks a lot for putting up with my stupid questions.....oh and the reason i started this topic was....what are Port and Polished heads....and what do they do?...thanks

the shop takes your head, disassembles the valvetrain, and opens up/alters the shape of the ports to increase the air flow. They can also work on the combustion chamber and valve seats.
not advisable to do yourself, honda already did a very good job on their heads, so only the most experienced can extract more power from them.
good head jobs go for $700- $900.
powerwise, a good P&P head with upgrade cams will give you around 20-30 hp depending on application.

a N/A engine entails everything that makes a motor create power without the help of turbo, supercharger, or nitrous setup...
if i were you i'd look into a future k20 swap
