stage 1's. if you are looking at toda's go for the spec B's. apperently the B's and the stg1's have about the same peak, but the b's have a fatter midrange.

i would buy valvetrain before any cams. anyways, my vote is for stage 1;s

I really don't want to go to start tearing apart my head......I had enough of that with my old setup. I just want a little more midrange and topend....nothing to crazy. After tuned I want to get around 190 to the wheels with simple bolt ons and alot of tuning.

i also want skunk2 stage 1 cams. the more info we get the better.
on quality i heard that the skunk2 cams are chill cast core or something like that. and the toda have a billet core. there have also been some people that have seen skunk2 cams break but i heard that these were only for the older cams not sure.

I love my stage 1's. They havent even been tuned yet and all around these cams pull so much better than stock. I couldnt be happier with them.

My old motor had Jun IIIs on 12.1 compression. It was fun until the cam broke, dropped valves, and destroyed my bottom end. Now I just want something reliable. I wasn't even revving that high when the cam snapped.

Toda A's or Skunk 2 Stage 1's
You can run both on Stock ITR valvetrain at stock redline but they both will see the most benefits under tuning and possibly more revs.
I opted for skunk2 stage 1's and itr outersprings / portflow innersprings since the stage 1's have power up to 9500 rpm. and I upped my compression to 11.4:1 with new pistons. The power is excellent and totally improved/noticeable over itr stock cams. The skunk2 stg1's are cheap also, so you may be pushed toward them for that fact alone. They do not put out much more power than stock itr without other mods and higher compression, but if that is in your future then you may indeed like the stg1's.

I'd go with B's if I could keep my stock valvetrain..........but I know I have to upgrade and i don't want to tearing apart the head. I would if I had to, but I don't so I'm trying to go as big as OEM valvetrain will allow.

I've been running my Skunk2 Stage 1 cams on my stock valvetrain for quite sometime now and I have NO Problem whatsoever. It sees 8200rpm all the time too, and pulls great.

Just an FYI, you can change the valve springs and retainers without pulling the head. I have done it many times. Do a search using "valve" or "springs" and you should be able to find threads that give the "how to" info; if changing the valve train is something you want to consider.

i would go with the skunk stage 1 cams.. very good cam for the money and make excellent power.. and they wont eat your rocker arms like the toda bs.. some what like an oem cam just drop them in and go
