Default Fuel consumption on ~300hp K-series builds?

For a K-series engine running ~ 250-300hp, what kind of city fuel consumption might I expect in a sedan like an accord or TLX?

I was going to go with J35 v6, but am kind of disgusted that in 2019 we can still only get around 17-18mpg city with premium fuel.

Would it be insane to consider building up a K24 to 250-300hp instead? Would it actually be any better with fuel consumption?

J35 ratings: 21/31 (AWD) or 21/34 from factory. Real world metrics seem to indicate that the 21 city is more like 18 though.
K24 (200hp stock) ratings: 24/35

Where do you think a 300hp K24 does?

If fuel consumption is a big concern I would go with a stock longblock that's turbo'd. Most of the na setups are gonna get progressively worse fuel economy as you build it up. Also in my opinion a heavy car like an accord or tlx still won't be all that fast with 300whp vs what something like a eg hatch with the same power.
