Progress:

Almost done. Still needs a tad more standing, and some grinding

port spacing is VERY close. the k series tho, actually has smaller ports than the f series!

Some holes up top were welded shut, then new holes were drilled:

I had to add some material to the bottom side as well as the bottom right corner of the factory intake manifold. This part of the flange has the hole for the water jacket, and EGR port. Original plan was to keep the manifold and the old part of the f22a flange separate pieces, but once i cut the manifold and water jacket down it was too thin. They had to be welded together:

Nice!!

That's really not as much work as I imagined it'd be to mate the mani directly to the head. The port spacing looks dead on, it's just the K series ports really are smaller! Which is a shock to me.

Do you have an estimate of when this will go back on the dyno?

I really can't wait for results. Just sent my F23 lower plenum to be gutted. Similar length runners, port size works with my head better. Hope it doesn't hurt midrange.

That looks great! Thanks for sharing your build. I've been tinkering with the F23 hybrids a while, but never tried the SOHC heads. I do have an F22A1 head which I may find a home for

Does being RHD complicate the throttle cable routing?

Wow, that looks REALLY good. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to FINALLY see a dyno comparison and to where this shift's power.

My guess is power will shift up to higher rpm range

2 days before the tune, and the day before alignment my alternator threw the belt during a freeway test drive. I don't know why it did fine on approximately 10 dyno pulls (when it made 190), and fine on the drive home months ago but cant go one exit down the freeway.

I'm ditching my custom alt bracket. I need one from ESP (out of business for now) or QSD (crappy service)

Innovative doesn't work for f/h2b setups running traction bars. If I can't find it soon im parting this out for a k series, and you guys will have to make your own damn popcorn lol

Does the custom header prevent the use of the stock alternator location?

I want to see a new dyno of this compared to the old manifold! If I were back in the US I'd make you a replacement bracket (I need one too ) so you could get this done!

In this chassis, space is limited between the frame rails. I had to remove my balance shaft gears to get the crank pulley to clear the frame. So I need the alternator moved over 1/2"

Im giving my custom bracket a second chance. I reinforced it lets hope for the best

Weld up the holes and redrill them .5" over.

I'll do that if I have to, but my bracket was made for an 88-91 d series alternator so I'm trying to use that. Gonna throw another belt on tonight.

You've forgotten one last alternator relocator, the Evolution Industries. They even have two different versions (QSD style and Innovative style) and are probably much better quality. Would that possibly be what you're looking for?

Didn't know they made one. Does it mount where the ac goes? If so that won't work.

The "Innovative style" mounts where the ac is I believe, but I think their other version doesn't. I think swap shop racing sells both types, if not it should be easy to Google info on it

Based on pictures, the evo ind bracket seems to sit a bit higher, though it is still where the ac goes.

The other bracket requires running their crank pulley. Im not running an aluminum pulley I need the oem dampener

If they're open monday I'll call and see if it will work
