Error Code 22 in idle
Hey guys,
since yesterday I got another problem with my B16A2. While overtaking some grandpa my ECU started dropping an 22 error code which means there's some trouble with the VTEC oil pressure switch. I took off the battery and waited for 30 minutes to reset the ECU und delete the error. But when I started the engine the light started glowing again. For some reason there is an error concerinig the VPS when the car is in idle.
There is enough oil in it. ;-)
That brings me to the conclusion below:
It may not be a problem with oil pressure but for some reason the ECU gets wrong or no data from the switch. I would check the cables and maybe replace the switch.
May there be another reason for that error to occur? Maybe Valves or ignition times? I'm just asking because I did not have time to set those up correctly. Is there something esle you would advice in order to find a solution?
Thanks
Daniel
