Default engine break in, using an open header?

I almost have my motor put together, i have crower 403's , crower valve train, srp pistons, eagle rods, and i have a megan racing header. since i don't have any piping under my car yet, i wanted to know if it was o.k. to break in the rings with just the open header before i can get it into a exhaust shop and get some piping. If not how much piping would i need to make it ok to break it in. i've spent alot of money, and i want to break this thing in right. any help would be great thanks.

I'm sure you would be fine running it open header, although its loud and annoying.
