this stuff is going to go up in price. just think how little demand it has now and it is not much cheaper than gas.
if demand really hit.. our fuel is competing with our food and prices are going to go up a lot in many areas.

i street tuned a fully built all motor car on e85 and the temps were unreal how low it was, and it was very easy to tune since the temps remained VERY consistent and not changing the inj pulse.

In terms of duty, they were 650cc utilizing around 60% duty.

JDOGG is right much easier tuning vie lambda vs. a/f

why would you expect it to make more power? you can tune it a bit more aggressively, but you've only really changed the octane rating. you'll only really make more power if you raise the compression and tune as the higher octane allows.

Any updates here?

How hi CR are the "pro's" running on E85?

I have heard locally that a mix (50/50) works better power vice (at least with relative low CR).

Ok, thanks for the reply.

Read about a guy in here that the other day that was building a 16:1 CR engine for E85. Sounds insane, but it sure sounded like he knew what he was doing

wouldn't the higher octane allow more aggressive timing and a leaner burn therefore more power?

WOW, would never have thought the E85 to be better than the 110. Thanks!

Higher dynamic compression due to the extra volume of fuel, less heat due to the ethanol. Both fuels apparently have enough octane to run maximum timing on that setup. Looks good.
