Default choices for bottom end b18c

so over the winter i build the head on b18c. i put skunk 2 tuner series stage 2 cams,421 headers, skunk 2 springs and retainers and ferra exhaust valves. two weeks ago i hit the dyno make a long story short the tunner broke 2 valves, the good thing they fixed it for free but since then it burns oil like crazy like i mean alot, when the shop took the head of you could se where the valves hit the piston, so my guess it one of the oil rings got damaged. so i guess soon im gonna take the engine out and redo the bottem end. im not 100% what would be the best piston/rods to buy. can some help me out on what to buy budget is around 1500-1800 for parts since im doing the labor my self.
thanks

OEM rods that are not bent with ARP rod bolts. Have them machined to fit. PR3 or ITR pistons with a fresh hone and retune.

What piston/rod combo are you using now and why did the valves hit? S2S2's aren't huge cams...have you measured your deck height? How much has your head been milled? What cam gears are you using?

Id look at this as an opportunity to go with a 2 liter.
Find a b20 block, run some pistons that will get your compression where you want it, get an ls/vtec ”kit”, build it, tune it, and go stomp on 1.8s with your newly found power!
Sell your gsr block and get some $ back. Total out of pocket expense should be right in your budget if not less.

I'm guessing when the valves bent it damaged the guides, now you have excessive blow by via the valve guides.

Even drop in cams should be measured for proper clearances so you know your safe window for moving the gears.

Lesson learned maybe change tuners next go around?
