would a broken iacv not allow my car to start? or could it possibly be my ecu?

the car is cranking and sputtering, but no start, it started before i replaced the head gasket and swithched the IACV

if my ecu was fried would the car even try to turn over?

the CEL turns on and then off after i switch it to the accessories, when i jump the pin the CEL stays on

can i open my ecu up to see if it is fried?

damn car cranks but wont kick over, my fuel pressue guage reads 40 psi like normal so I dont believe I have a fuel problem

Can you hear your fuel pump kick in? If not you're ecu could have been fried. But I highly doubt it. Check to see if you have any spark. My car did that to. turns out my dizzy was out.

im not quite sure if it is the fuse, last time before the car last started last week the speedo started jumping then fell down, since then I replaced the head gasket

if it is the ecu can I open it up and visually see if it is fried?

If I rermember correctly, the fuse for the VSS in the same as the altenator. Have you checked that?

im not quite sure where the fuse is, I dont have the fuse diagram because the person i bought the car from must have lost it

I woul like to check the fuse, does anyone have a diagram?

I believe i found the source of the poblem, the 2 wire plug that goes to the distributor, the black and yellow wire got fried so my dizzy i bought bought is worthless now

does anyone know what would cause this wire to fry? could it have been because my tranny ground wasnt connected?

it is now connected and I dont want to fry my LS dizzy, its the only one i have left, i have to chop the leg off to fit the GSR head but its all i have

I also had an MSD external coil

I am thinking it is spark because the car has ful pressue and when i was trying to crank it over the muffler pretty much farted and it smelt like un-burnt gas

do you think my GSR dizzy is ruined? or can i replace that wire? it doesnt have any crank position sensor, TDC and the other sensor in the dizzy codes showing up. I have an extra wire laying around and im sure i can take it apart

my car i a little smokey though, the smoke is not a thick white, blue, or black, its mostly clear with a little white like exhause that doesnt go trough a cat, think it might be running a little lean?
