Broken Engine Mount--Fixable?
IF you know someone good @ arc welding, and you have the other piece, its possible to fix.. other then that.. start searching for another block lol..
That is not your engine mount, it's the block. It looks very damaged alright, even the other holes are stripped.
You are probably best off with another block

I had the SAME eact thing happen to me, I had a friend come over and we put bigger studs and retaped it while the motor was in the car. never happened again.
If you have the piece that came off you may be able to tig it back in. Typically aluminum weld are never as strong as the parent material though. A better question is how did it break?
It's on a longblock a guy has for sale. AFAIK, it broke in a wreck. I didn't figure it was something that was very easily fixed. Thanks for the input, Guys.

If you're talking about the mount bracket, you can't weld steel to aluminum.
If you're talking about the actual mount, the later version aluminum mount, I don't see the point. It would be ghetto & you'd need to remove the engine everytime the timing belt would need to be replaced.
I'd pass.

This makes me realize how lucky I am that the weak point in my accident was the HASPORT mount. The frame separated enough to where it sheared all my belts and cracked off my power steering pulley but just missed touching the motor.
I've repaired way wose than that. All you need to have done is have two of the holes time serted or heli coiled and then weld the other hole up completely and add material to make up for the missing piece. Use the mount bracket and your two good holes to locate and drill and tap the third hole back in. In the past I repaired a block that had two of the holes ripped out along with alot more material than that block and I fixed it in this way. It was a sleeved block and worth fixing though.
