hi, ive been running a 12.5cr in my d16z6 for 4yrs now and i fell in love with high compression. ive been wanting to go b20, but ive heard some ls vtec guys say that the b20 cranck cant go past 7,200 rpm. now my question is, are the b20 crank, sleeves, or connecting rods in any way inferior to b18 internals [not compared to (type r) or (gsr)]? ive benn running d16a1 pistons in my z6 and was really pleased with the out come. if any body knows what pistons are interchangeable with b18 and b20 blocks resulting in higher compression, i would really appriciate the knowledge.

Well the b18 and b20 cranks and rods are the same. The difference between the two blocks is the bore. B18, and all other b-series motors except the b20, are 81mm the b20 is 84mm. So you can technically run any piston from any b-series motor with an 81mm bore in a b18. P30 pistons would probably be best IMO. PCT aka civic type r pistons would give a higher static compression ratio but are generally frowned upon because they limit your cam choice. Good luck

b18c1 crank is 87mm factory balanced
b20/B18a-b Ls is 89mm factory balanced
b18cR is 87mm factory balanced and counter weighted

rs machines pistons...arp bolts on the stock b20 rods and stock b20 crank can do 9k rpms everyday....all honda cranks are forged and proven to make over 1000hp on boosted engine at over 10k rpms...

go b20vtec...you will make a lil more torque and more power...on a cheaper setup..

yea new to this so dont know how to do a post... i have a 91 integra that im tryin to put a zc swap in one problem is thinking mayb need a 17 tooth bottom gear can anyone help?

You'll need to make your own thread. (Welcome to H-T) and the ZC is an entirely different animal. Not a B-series, but not a single cam either. Just a red-headed step-child

B20 crank and LS crank are the same.

Depends on what ZC motor some are DOHC, SOHC Vtec and SOHC NON Vtec, Honda stamped many motors ZC.

91acuraintegra this is not the thread or even the forum for this. Also why would you do any ZC in a Teg?? B16 is the smallest motor I would put in it, GSR being the better choice.
