Default B16 internal block parts into a JDM B18C. Possible to work properly?

I have a 95 JDM B18C Type R and was curious if the pistons, rod, crank, oil pan ext From a b16a2 will fit into the B18C?

Im looking to rebuild and have found a good source of parts that are decently priced the only thing is they are from a b16a2 and thats where my question comes in.

Thanks in advance guys!

Rods will not work, the deck height of B16a is shorter than the rest of the B family. You'll need custom length rods in order to use the B crank within the B18C block.

Yeah, the crankshaft would work, but you would have to use B16B (CTR) rods and pistons and then you would basically have a CTR engine. I am not sure of any good reason to do this on a street car... the ITR engine is a much better overall engine.

Correct. Also, B16B and B16A do not share the same rod width - bearing size.
