Any carbureted K-series out there
I'm looking to build another dune buggy and i was going to use my spare A6 block and do a small turbo on it but i found a relatively cheap K24 and i thought that would be a fantastic power plant for the buggy. Just looking for some info, seeing if anyone has done it before. Any info would be greatly appreciated. And yes i did search... on multiple sites for the last 2 hours with no results. Thanks Jay

That would be some excellent info. I really don't want to do EFI for my buggy build, too much cost and hassle involved, carbs seem to be a nice cost effective alternative. Just gotta find some info, i've been searching my *** off with no luck.

Maybe adapt some motorcycle carbs? You would probably need way bigger jets, but having individual carbs per cylinder would be pretty sweet.

Is this person on the site to where i could ask him a few questions? I need to pick someone's brain that's done it before. It's not the carb part i'm worried about it's the spark and all that ****. Curious how to get all that to work without an ecu.

Belt-drive a distributor + MSD box.
I do know of one guy (I think he's on here sometimes) who's belt driving a magneto on a K. I do not have permission to share pics though.

I really dont know if it was a carb setup, its been awhile. Jack Sachette had a K all motor in his CRX. I believe he was on carbs in that car, but I'm not 100% sure.

Hmm maybe this idea isn't going to be as simple as i thought it would. Sucks when no one wants to share info.

Re: Any carbureted K-series out there
the problem i see with carbs and this application is dialing in the fuel mixture, your going to have so many different fueling parameters, vtec, no vtec, the variable cam timing, i think getting the carbs dialed in for all those coniditions would prove to be impossible, now if its just for good WOT performance they would be ok, i just see alot of drive ability issues coming up

I probably wouldn't use VTEC with the carb setup, i already thought of that and your right it would be an incredible ***** trying to get that right, actually think it would be close to impossible. I might just have to stick with my boosted A6 option since i already have everything i need. Just wanted to try something different.
