Yes, that setup is too big, however I'm not sure that's your problem. Running like crap before 7k very well could mean your tune sucks ***. Is 7k your vtec pt?

The car is tuned but runs like crap?
Interesting...
A 72mm throttle body may be a tad large, but I seriously doubt that it is hurting you. If you are running the VictorX intake manifold, the motor will want to be wound out to 9,000+ RPM.

Your running a manifold made for peak power/boost, however is not much fun for street.

If you look at N/A victor X dynos they dont make much mid-range unless you have alot of displacement and thats why it feels slow under 7Krpm.. bolt on a ported ITR or performer X and gain your mid range back

some will say yes, some will say no. imo, unless you have really high compression the 72 isnt necessary. even then you might lose some intake velocity. there are guys running 68 / 70mm on h22s and thats a larger engine. but i personally believe the 72mm TB may not be helping you

it is not to big at all i have a 72mm on my victorX manifold cut opened and ported on my 1.8 setup pulls to 9200 and runs great from idle all the way up
who tuned the car? sounds like the tunner
did you part throttle tune?
btw i think 11.8.1 is to low compression

i have 12.5.1 30mm overbore 1.8
everything else in the biuld just about the same give or take here n there
made 204 @9000 and 132
(not fully brokin in and on 30W with intake air temps of 105)

i say get a better tunner

i cant believe you would stoop that low... no honda should ever have to suffer the repercussions from autozone parts
