I'm really interested in seeing the vid. do you have more engine pics, I saw what you have in your for sale thread. I wanna show some of the doubters I know that a pretty much all honda parts bottom end can put down 215+ whp and 11 second quarters. Are you using ARP main studs in your block?, I'm looking for the part#? and did you resize the big end of your rods after installing the bolts? I heard this is needed or is it BS? any opinions welcome. Thanks, SICK CAR YOU GOT

Oh just so you know I wasn't saying that LS/VTEC insn't the way to go. I was saying that I heard LS rod bearings aren't a good idea. I believe strongly that LS/VTEC's are as good as the parts and the builder.
You are no doubt a perfect example proving this. Couple more Q's if you dont mind, I've heard that the big ends of the rods need minimal resizing when ARP bolts are installed is this true or BS? Are you using ARP main studs? I want to use them on my motor but I can't seem to find a part # for them (ARP may not make them, I'm not sure though). Thanks alot for you help, its appreciated.

The girdle isn't to make more power it is for reliablility. Honda/Acura uses a girdle in its GSR/ITR for a reason. It helps prevent crank walk & vibration from high RPM motors with poor geometery from destroying the bearings prematurely.
Reving to 9200 without a crank girdle in a gsr, itr, or ls/crvtec will greatly reduce the lifetime of the motor.

I have taken over three hundred passes on this motor, over 25 dyno runs, and have drove it everyday that we weren't at the track testing...and I haven't touched the block since I put it together....... I think the block girdle is a great idea, if you have the money to purchase one. I believe that this is living proof of how a well built motor is, and can be reliable! But your right, a block girddle is a great idea, otherwise honda would not have used it!
to the question about resizing the rods for the rod bolts..... No, the machine shop got the correct ones and I installed them myself. I am not exactly sure what the part # was.... Sorry..... But I think they make two different sizes, like 8 or 9 mm??????? go with the ones that are a direct replacement for the rods you are using.
I will get more pics and the video!!!!!!!

Over 300 hundred passes is proof enough for me, daily driven too, I think I'll leave the girdle out for now and put some more money into my topend. I know about the rod bolts now thanks
, ARP 8mm part #208-6001 ordered already. How about the crank mains, these are the ones I'm having trouble finding. Are you using stock main bolts or something aftermarket. Thanks for all your responses

Stock mains... With the rod bolts, you don't need to resize them either. This will make for a safer rod end. If you resize and have to drill some material out then you are creating a week point on that rod. Good luck with your build. There are alot of people on HT that can vouch for this motor......how many passes and how it is daily driven.... Good luck on your build... Any questions hit me up.

You sir amaze me with that car. Was that 60ft. 1.6X, I can't believe that man, makes me look really forward to when i'm done with my buildup. And I'm just looking for high 12's with about the same power in a EF hatch that'll probably weigh 2100lbs. Congrats again, damnit thats awesome, great bragging material for the honda oppressing people.

Just saw your vid, your launch was awesome
. I'm so amazed how small this world is. You were racing against a girl that I race with in Ontario, Canada. She had a tough year with her car, blew a couple oil pumps. I always said there were US street cars with less $ in them that can run with some of the best cars in Canada. AWESOME #'s you deserve the feedback these H-T members are giving you.

Thanks again everybody that watched and replied. The girl that I raced was really cool. The track officials actually disqualified me on that run because of no roll cage and fire jacket..... So she got to move on to the next round. Thanks!!!!!!!!

Yoooooo backdraft
What kind of ecu program are u running?
I'm curious cause what ever u are running is DAMN good!
I wonder how much of a difference it would make with some hondata.
But by the looks of your car that ecu program works just fine.
Lol
I bet hondata would smooth out that graph well though.

the ecu chipping was done by jerry from JERRY BUILT, when he was with import builders. But yes it is a good program. I was thinking of going hondata or crome next season????? Not sure yet? but one of those would help smooth out the graph. Thanks again.
