Q's for my Acura Legend 94 coupe
i just recently moved from the accord forum to here, i just got myself a 94 legend coupe recently and it has a few minor probs i wanna get done... but none of my autoparts store has a manual,
-what kind of refrigerant does it take? r12? r134a?
-and does any1 know the location of the stock radio amp's located? i bought the car with a system but the owner removed the aftermarket amp,im just trying to get the sound system back up n running...
-anyone know about why the a/c condenser under the glovebox makes a whirling sound for a couple mins and goes away? (i heard its a known prob for 91-95's)
and for stuff im trying to get rid of,,, if anyone wants to trade a set of oem springs for purple intrax lowerings (1.7 fr, 1.5 rears) in the Nyc area let me know...

1) R134A
2)The Bose amp is behind the rear seatback. You have to remove the backseat to access it.
3)The only noise I'm familiar with in the glovebox area is the blower motor if any leaves, etc. caught in it.
If you check over on http://acura-legend.com, I believe there is a DIY on removing the blower motor if you determine that is the problem. Also there is some info regarding the wiring for the Bose amp in the event the previous owner cut yours to install the aftermarket amp.

Its on the drivers side right behind the seat back. Your evaporator shouldnt be making any noise. The condensor is up in front of the radioator. Prolly your blower motor like the other guys said. Good luck

Re: (alpine_hikr)
i just recently took out the blower motor, it had a bunch of grime looks like carbon deposits stuck everywhere, i didnt wanna take it apart so i used some lithium grease and the whirling sound kinda stopped, but it still makes it at start of the fans and when i shut off the fans, but not as annoying as it being on everytime the ac/fans on...
for the rear amp, i found the last owner hacked off the connectors, and i was too lazy to go to/honda/acura to get new ones, so i just got myself a aftermarket amp and spliced it over...
thanks for the help
