Default Jerking problem while accelerating

i have a 89 or 90 legend, i forgot the year, but when i start to accelerate it jerks n kinda has problem starting off, i have to smash it for the car can go smooth , but when i'm at a light, it jerks n has trouble pulling away, does anyone know what the problem is? i don't know if this can help you, but when i pull he shift all the way down, it helps it out a little bit, this is an automatic car.

it sounds like a fuel delivery problem. have your fuel injectors cleaned, and go to a mechanic with the proper technology to test out some codes on your ECU. not sure about the 1st gens, but the 2nd gen legend throws codes through the ECU if theres a problem

yea, that would be an easy thing to check. i know a lot of people that change them, but i guess that is for all cars.

doesnt hurt to replace it
