3.0CL - I have a question for ya. If your car has 3.0L engine, doesn't that mean you're far cry from a 3.2L VTEC engine? Have you hit 13s in your car or have a time slip?

Relax guy's. I just wanted to point out something I've noticed. Everybody seems to talk about how this car and that car can beat a TypeR. They even come to our board to demonstrate what can beat a TypeR. And unless you have your head completely up your *** you know (as an ITR owner) that there's lots of stuff that can outrun you. All it boils down to is a question: If everybody has to compare all these different cars to the TypeR, then who sets the benchmark for performance?
Now before I am misconstrued, I in no way mean that the benchmark is the highest you can achive, it's just that I don't see other cars being refered to in the same way. And I'm not a cocky ITR owner I know were I stand. Beleive me I wish they would find something else to compare to.

People compare their cars to Rs because this is a HONDA BOARD. If we were on a LS1 board everyone would be comparing their cars to LS1s. I personally think a Supra is superior to a R in everyway imaginable. Maybe they should start to compare their cars to Supras.

i can see the reason he posted this. peeps do brag about their R's alot. ithere is a small percetage that think the R is King of the streets. but we all know that a CL would handle like *** on the road course. so....point taken

Supra TTs are pretty sweet, but what's with the big rear wing? I think big rear wings are pretty retarded. I'm sure glad that my type R doesn't have a big rear wing. I am sofa king we todd did.
Hehe, again, supras are ultra-nice, so are FD RX-7s...but new, these cars cost twice what the ITR does. money no object, we'd all be driving around in McLarens, but for the driver who wants a fun, light car that's track ready from the factory and sings to a beautiful 8500 RPM, AND can be a decent daily driver with space to carry tons of chit and go long distances, you can't beat the R. If it weren't such a big deal, why are people so focused on beating it?

The rear wing is FUNCTIONAL it creates downforce. With some research you would have known that. Its not just there, it has a purpose. I have driven a R my friend in Philly has one. Its Black. 2001 i think. Felt like a faster GSR with better handles. And to the person that said the Supra is superior to everything, ITS NOT. There are plenty of cars that will dog it.
