Type R axles on a Type S?
I heard something about the wheel well being 2 inches deeper on the Type R itself and was wondering if the size of the R and S axles are the same?
(stupid question...)

Hm...I actually believe the R axles are a little bit longer. Like half an inch or so if memory serves. Type S axles wouldn't fit in the Type R hubs, they were too short.

just because the rims offsets are different doesn't mean anything. The knuckle design could have been different from a Type S. So it could have used the same axles.

I think the knuckle design and rim offset are working together in this case...
