I had the FLT-A2s for 1 month, got rid of them for RSDs.
I had no bad issues with the FLT-A2s, just that they were underdamped for the new (at the time) 9/10kg/mm spring rates they started offering--they started w/ 7/9.
But so many reports of horrible customer service drew me away.
I read your post just now. I guess I never had any binding issues since I had stiff enough rear spring rates (16kg/mm = 896lbs/in) w/ poly bushings.
I also agree w/ the minimal camber settings for the rear end. Unfortunately I was rubbing my cut rear fenders on -1.0 camber w/ 17x8 +35mm 235 RT615s so I've had to run -1.5 deg.
As for race teams going low, I think it's mainly because they can up the rates enough to at the very least accout for the lower RC...my 560/896 spring rates are about borderline streetable to me, probably not streetable to the average joe

Re: spoon Dc5 (203_DC5)
I've always heard the same about JIC in the past...which is why I went with JICs.
But it was underdamped for the springs they came with, and I later heard the bad stories about customer service (even from people paying for revalves taking month after month).
Swapped TEIN SS to JIC FLT-A2s after owning the SS for 9 months:
Swapped the JIC FLT-A2s for Buddy Club RSDs only riding on the JICs for a month:

Since the OP is only looking for info out of curiosity, not to mod his car, here's my $.02.
RealTime pushed the DC5 as far as they could, then switched to a CL9. Wonder if there's a lesson here.

In one way, that's a valid suggestion...but since the SCCA allows *sooo* many modifications to the engine, chassis, etc of all of the cars in that class...I'm not sure we can make that comparison and/or how valid it is. Not to mention the weight a lot of the top RSX drivers were carrying, etc.
It would be interesting to see a Realtime-spec 2001 ITR vs. a Realtime-spec 2005 RSX-S. The serious has come a long way since Roger Foo won with a B-series hatch he built on-the-cheap.

Re: (Todd00)
well in all honesty, im curious because i do in fact want to mod my car later on down the road. At present i don't have to money...tale as old as time i know, so i decided to research the potential of the car by comparing and contrasting it. Yes it is just curiosity, however it is not without reason. Ive come to the conclusion that i will probably invest into some adjustable all in one shocks and springs, most likely tein, and stick to the 1.5 -1.7 drop which is the recommended. The car may see a few weekend trips to the track but thats about it. As far as switching to the CL9 you could say why did they switch from the dc2 to the dc5....times and cars change....correct me if im wrong.
