Re: S2000 vs 05 RSX-S (risktypeS)
if its at the track, i think the s2k would win. unless u are a really good driver and he is a crappy driver. but its all about the driver at the track. s2k runs high 14s with a decent driver, im not sure what a 05 rsx-s runs though

Re: S2000 vs 05 RSX-S (4F CHR!S)
in california, if you get caught street racing. they put your and your opponent's car on top of each other and smash with no question ask. this really suck. take it to the track. pay a small amount of fee than lose your ride and get a big fine

i think from a dig the s2k ...rwd, more hp, lil more tq, limited slip an they are about the same weight...since you are talkin bout an 02 s2k n the 05 type s
yea the k is a great motor, the s2k is purely incredible, holds the status of having the highest hp/liter ratio in a n/a mast produced motor

what are you mad because they were genius when they sought to add VTC with VTEC? Why are you even hating on K, we're all family... it's still a honda family member or are you hating because you are just biased?
I have raced a 1st gen s2k and spanked it. Actually i've raced 2 1st gen s2k's and spanked them both and i have an 03 typeS. Now if i was to race the 2nd gen s2k.. i'll prolly be handed my *** on a silver platter but i haven't raced one yet and i would love to. Don't get me wrong i love all Honda motors. i have love for them all but i'm more into the K then any other series. I'm pretty sure there is a lot to the s2k motor but no one really has done research, and i mean full research, into them. There's more research into K series but not enough research to find the true power of them both.

taken from Motor Trend when talking about the S2000

It only took the S2000 5.8 seconds to reach 60 mph, and it did the quarter mile in 14.2 at 98.1. </TD></TR></TABLE>
and now for the 2002 RSX-S. i couldnt find any actual times for the 05-06, but i dont think that its a whole second faster than the 02-04's

Re: (risktypeS)
1st gen s2k has 240hp with a 9k redline and bad torque curve. @nd gen s2k has 237hp with an 8k redline but a way better torque curve. Bottomline, stock to stock equal drivers the type s is gonna get smoked. I just sold my s2000 and got an 05 type s due to extra baggage issues . Anyways, I ran a 14.1 bone stock in my s2k with 18's, roomate has an AP1 as well and ran a 14.2. My other best friend with an AP2(2005) just ran a 13.8 BONE STOCK. Car and Driver rates the type s 1/4 mile @ 14.9. S2K will smoke the type s with EQUAL drivers hands down.

^^show's how much i know about s2k's but i do know this
240, 160lbs flywheel and assuming a 16% drive train loss so rougly 200ish and 130ish lbs to the ground 1st gen. i don't think 1st gen s2k would spank the type s but i do believe the 2nd gen would.
