yeah, if it is the iVTEC solenoid, it should make your C.E.L. light come on in the dash. ( C.E.L. = Check Engine Light ) if its malfunctioning.

or you could take it to a shop and have them check your oil pressure. maybe the oil pump is going out and not supplying enough pressure to open the solenoid???

I know exactly what you mean , Especially with these newer variable geometery turbo trucks! the F250 i drove at work last summer felt fast as heck.

im sure its working..but like people said the rsx is a luxurious(spelling?) car..so it wont be like other cars for example an s2000.those are built more like a sports car so they will be louder..the newer models of the dc5 transittion are smoother than the 02-04 models..and the same with the v-teck</TD></TR></TABLE>

are you freaking kidding me?

I have a 05 Acura RSX (auto) K20A3 that is sluggish on acceleration and recently started making a grinding noise even if the car is in drive with foot on brake. After 2000 rpm it's making a grinding noise and when I take off it kinda jerks from first to second then pans out through fifth. I changed transmission mount, cv axel (driver and passenger) and have had a recent install (D.C. Headers, yonaka exhaust, hondata manifold intake gasket) it's thrown codes P0420 and P1033 and I used a defouler thinking it would throw off check engine light and it pops up P1035 (malfunction bank 1 sensor 1) so my question is this car has been dependable but the acceleration on takeoff and now cel on again what do you think is the basic steps to take!? I'm not rich and can't afford a $1000 ecu either atm but for this to be fixed the right way I don't need anymore mods lol
