Removed passenger seat... SRS light. (I searched)
I removed my passenger seat to run some wiring and now the SRS light is on. I plugged everything in just fine though. Do I have to reset the ECU? Will the paper clip trick work to get the light to go off if the seat is back in the car?
None of the searches gave a clear answer.
Thanks.

Holy crap...does no one pay attention to previous posts? Did you look in the FAQ at the top of the page, like I suggested?
And FWIW, the trick that's being referred to is how to reset the light...not keep it off if you have aftermarket seats.

Yep, works fine. Honda actually swapped out my seatbelts(Lifetime warranty) and my srs light came on. They claimed it was my fault and that i had gotten into an accident.. . So any tampering with the seatbelt housing or your steering wheel can set it off i guess

Re: Removed passenger seat... SRS light. (02_Si_FTW)
my 03 rsx base has had the SRS ecu replaced twice now under warranty. The dealership told me it is a lifetime warranty item unless you get in an accident or tamper with it. If you dont tell them the seat was out they should cover it under warranty.
