K20a2 head on K20a3 block
as the post says, I'm just wondering if I could put it on. I have bent valves in my K20a3 head and I found some cheap K20a2 heads so I was just wondering if it could bolt right up w/o any problems?

What type of power do you gain from swaping the heads. Also when swaping the heads what type of adjustments need to be made with KPro to get it to work. Does it need a full tune or will it initial start up no problem?

Re: (meno19)
iam not sure but i think you will have to change the ecu to get fuel map work as a sport car thek20a3 is made for fuel economie so wou will probably need a upgrade on ecu
by the way iam on the edge to attempting this i just got my head today so let me some sign if you startup we could helpus eachother on this project !!!!

you get decent power. its a good add-on for turbo'd a3's, much more head flow. i may slap a head on after i turbo my base.
i would think you could start with a stock a2 basemap and tune from there, im sure it needs some kind of adjustments, but nothing too drastic. i could be wrong though. anyone wanan chime in on the tuning aspect? the head will bolt right on.

its a bad idea,ur matching a head built for high revs and the a3 block has low compression pistons,it wont run right even with k-pro.and u still need the 6-gear box to take advantage of the vtec system.save a bit more for a complete swap, its safer.

NA you dont need the 6 gear box to take advantage of Vtec if you have Kpro. I know plenty of people that perfer the 5 spped tranny compared to the 6 speed trannty especially when it comes to drag. I believe that in the 6 speed the 2nd and 3rd gear are not much different. In the 5 you get much better torque bands. From what I understand I could be wrong of course.
Yooo 90jdmcrxdude how much did you find A2 heads for?
