Heater and A/C both stopped working, air still blows
Hey All,
A couple of days ago I noticed my heater wasn't blowing warm air in the morning. Then on the way home I noticed the A/C wasn't blowing cold air. Air still blows, just not hot or cold. I checked the heater control valve and its working fine. I ran the HVAC diagnostic by holding the recirculation button down and pushing the rear defroster button 5 times, as is described in the factory shop manual. But no trouble codes were produced. Since both the heater and the A/C stopped working at the same time, and no trouble codes were produced, a part must have failed that is not part of the self diagnostic system AND is used by both the heater and the A/C. I am thinking it must be a door/flap that is not working.
Has anyone else experienced this? Anyone have any suggestions on this?

I got this figured out! The plastic crank piece that was mounted to the air mix motor shaft broke, which prevented the heater control valve from opening and the flaps in the heater box from opening. Looks like a new motor will be around $73 online.

The Acura dealership in Albuquerque offered to match the online price, so I will have it tomorrow. I still have to check if there is a problem with the levers/gears that the motor connects to with a small metal rod. If those are jammed up someone, it may explain why this happened.
