sounds like a load of crap to me....the cover is plastic anyways...it would absorb the heat and maybe travel to the 2 tiny 10mm bolt, thats not going to make a diff....get the Hondata IMG if your worried about heat....after i installed it and a couple of races, i can pop my hood and put my hand directly on my rbc manifold and it would still be cool to the touch

lol, its for looks only to clean up the engine bay. It really serves no other purpose. There are alot of things on these cars that really serve no purpose but aesthetics

The reason you see alot of people remove these are when they run aftermarket fuel rails and/or fuel systems. The aftermarket rails often don't clear the intake manifold cover or these people spent enough on the rails that they want to show them off.

For example, I am not running one on my car anylonger because I am running the RBC intake manifold, an AEM fuel rail and the feed line would interfere with the cover so I got rid of it, hell, it wouldn't even fit with the manifold that I am running. Look for yourself

it's not necissary, honda put it there for looks and to keep idiots from touching the hot motor. It might hold some heat, but I doubt it's causing your intake mani temps to go up much. In theory he's right, but the plastic doesn't retain that much heat. Take it off if you like the look, leave it if you don't wanna mess with it.
