all k20 motors are 86x86 so i would say it would bump your compression a good amount, i wont toss any numbers out there because i have no idea of the stock compression on either. but its the same idea of using DC2-R pistons on a b16a

thanks dude.. cause i, picking up a type s head.. and im guessing.. using the head and dc5-r pistons... will raise my compression a lot... so if it is possible ill buy them... thanks

edit: stock compression is 9:8:1..

if my memory serves me right (and i have a very bad memory) i read somewhere that it'll give you a 11.5:1 ratio.

Someone will have to verify or correct that number please.

Skunk2 replaced the k20a3 9.8:1 pistons with the ITR 11.5:1 pistons. They are interchangable. Direct swap. All you would need are the pistons, rings, wrist pins and clips for the pins.

BTW, how much are you selling those new pistons for?

you wont need the type R rods, the rods should be the same as the a3

why not shave the head a few thousants? and add a spoon head gasket...thats about 12.5 or so compression. would be about the same price, correct me if i am wrong..the only thing in the way would be the valve to piston clearance ( which would only be a factor if you screwed with the timing)???

oh and not to mention getting a v-afc for the extra air and fuel mapping needed to run that sorta compression.
