I was going to upgrade my head unit to a pioneer deh-p9600mp or premier deh-p960mp. What do I need to do when uninstalling factory unit? I was going to get the wiring harness and dash kit for the assembly. Has anyone replaced their headunits. Also I found the units are cheaper on Ebay and will purchase it there. Thanks

Everything that the HU comes with should be all you need for the install itself. The Si shouldn't require a faceplate to my understanding.
As to the anti-theft, the stock HU has a radio code that needs to be re-entered whenever the battery is disconnected.
Just becareful after you get a HU. Thieves usually work with the ideology that HU = Amp and sub.

Totally, i bougt a Premier deck head unit not too long ago. not till after did i discover the thing didnt come with a clock. i was very bitter. i had to buy a little clock at pepboys and velcrod it next to the sunroof button. Surprisingly it doesnt look too bad. Just cant see it at night.

i replaced my head unit in my 04, and the wiring harness adapter integrates the keyless entry, and the antitheft system is not affected. you need a dash kit, and a wire harness adapter.
