From the pictures the only thing I don't like is the position of that tach/speedo. That's..just weird. It just kinda looks like you'd have to take your eyes completely off the road to look down and see where you are rpm wise. And then look up to see your speed, then back to the road. I dunno, might only be a problem for the first few months of having it until you're completely used to it, but then..that'd be a scary few months.

Other than that, it looks pretty sweet. Like a mini new accord.

i have been in love witht he rsx since it first same out, and truth be told the ONLY reason i did not purchase one yet is because i really want oem navigation, i almost bought the new acord just because of it, if it is true that the rsx will be gone after 2006 then i hope they put the navigation in there for the last year because i really want a rsx but i refuse to buy one without it

I have heard that Temple of Vtec is going to be doing a Si Project car for Sema... So the aftermarket must be there!!!

It weighs a ton and is most likely the size of a 4th or 5th gen.

Well, of course the aftermarket support is already here... We have been playing with k series motors since 2002.

Hondata K pro is already available for most k20 cars and also for the TSX so having it work for the new Si will be easy. Cams and other engine internals are also available...

yes, for turbo and SC application it is going to be a tight fit but I am sure they are going to maybe move the turbo to the side or something instead of having it right behind the motor..

Car looks different... but is to be expected. For a civic, the interior doesn't look too shabby and the digital readout looks neat. Guess you can't go wrong with a 200hp K20 motor. =T

Question:
Would the introduction of the new SI (with its huge bump in power from 160 --> 200) hurt the RSX-S market? If the SI can be bought for less than 20K, why spend 25K for a RSX-S (for the acura badge/luxury brand)? I'm alreadying thinking that a possible RSX-R may be in the distance future...

Well, my honda insiders tell me that the RSX is dead after 2006. Maybe a 2 door TSX in the future? Not sure.

They are pushing the rsx crowd towards the tsx while creating a new market for the people that want performance. This car is going to do well against its competition unlike the ep3 that was underpowered.

There are many speculations. One of them says that the civic line might get a 250HP addition to make up for the dead RSX... That would basically be a k24a tsx motor with better cams and a slight better ECU map etc...

The major difference from the new 2006 Civic Si from the older models is that it will be able to gain 20-30 whp just by messing with the ECU and letting in more air etc...

HASPORT FOR SEMA is swapping a TSX block with a full race turbo in one, projected to make around 500whp...

On all motor performance, this is where a car like this shines. I built a 292 whp all motor k25 that is running on pump gas so I am sure we are going to see some interesting projects before they make each damn car a hybrid-electric honda

Man, what is up with the exterior. Not diggin it at all. Looks nothing like the concept in the front. Wing is gay. Engine bay too small. Drive by wire? . 2900 lbs? I dunno what to think. I guess its cool that honda is trying to make a more performance induced civic, but honestly the designers need to be shot.

Long live the 88-2000 Honda. They were simple, looks were simple, and chasis were simple. The only thing I like about the new si is maybe some of the interior looks nice, the brake system seems to finally be adequate, and the engine and LSD are definitely a big plus. But please for the love of Honda put something out that isn't a ******* baloon mobile.

I think I'll wait for the new CRX. Hopefully not another big disapointment.

EDIT: OMG just looked at the pics again and threw up a little in my mouth. First reaction when looking at the front end -> PT Cruiser

The car is fugly. The only thing I can say I like is the interior because those seats would look great in my car.

Overall impression: Not bad.

I'm not a fan of that front end at all, but if it's priced well enough, I think it could fare well. The interior and dash are attractive and the whole car just seems like a nice little car to drive around.

With all those little extras that it looks like it has, the price may outweigh any positives the car has.

Lose the wing, dump it, and thrown on some rims with a nice offset. Then it will be a nice car.
