nah too old for that too. I actually think losing the rsx is good for acuras image. They will never be taken seriously as a luxury car brand while teenagers are ricing out there integras and rsx's

I guess I'll be the 1st (EDIT: 2nd) to say some negative things.
1) Look at that ****** TINY engine bay. I mean, it looks like a BITCH to even change the spark plugs. My point: that cramped space will be virtually impossible to work on, let alone mod where parts need to be test fitted etc. My prediction: that design will KILL the aftermarket for this car.
2) Jalal, the guy that took the pics, said that it uses a new rear mount, or tranny mount (can't remember). That might mean that it would take alot of work to get this motor into another car, or another motor into this car. Or it could simply mean that you'd need the appropriate mount.
3) Throttle by wire = lameness
4) Nikos, post that vid you have. You guys will see that it just looks like any other car on the road. The exterior style is too bland. I feel they were trying to pull off a subtle look, like the GTO, but failed and just made it boring. That's just MO.

Horsepower, SAE Net
200 hp @ 7800 rpm
Torque, SAE Net
143 lb.-ft. @ 7000 rpm

I can only address points one and two.
1) This model will have much better aftermarket support than the previous Civic Si. You should see more parts at launch and more project cars than with the previous car.
2) I can't answer the new mount dilemma, but why take the motor out? What are you going to put in it that's that much better than 200 bhp? If you wanna swap a motor into another chassis, just use a different K20...no biggie.
I'm much more impressed with this model than the previous two and come SEMA time in Vegas I'm sure we'll all be suprised with what companies have offer.

Hasport and full race are both unveiling project cars then right?
Where'd you hear about the aftermarket developments? If there is a big aftermarket like you say, do you think the demand will meeet it's expectations?

Too wedged shape for me...looks ugly. Looks like Honda jacked the new sedan's rear end straight from the new B7 Audi A4.

I was just about to say the same thing. Why the **** did they put navi in a civic and not in the rsx? I like the interior, but the cluster arrangement is weird.

I don't know which companies are getting project cars.
I've heard about aftermarket parts from various sources and know that there will be part availble shortly after the cars release. I hope for everyones sake that the demand meets expectations. I'm pretty certain the previous model did not and Honda seems to have stepped up quite a bit to ensure that this Civic will reclaim it's former spot in the sport compact tuning market.
