Re: 2003 acura rsx airbag module (Racersky)
What I am getting from a few different dealerships here in town. You could get away with NOT replacing it, but it will not deactivate the SRS light, therefore disabling the system. In other words, to have a fully functional system, it needs to be replaced. I am going to call a few more places and see what I can come up with.
EDIT: Out of 6 ACURA ONLY dealerships, 5 of them said it needs to be replaced, along with the seatbelt pretensioners in the B-Pillars on both sides.
1 of them didnt know what the hell I was talking about when I said the "airbag module"
EDIT: Just talked to a 20 year Acura technician (Yes, 20 years, since Acura's inception) and he confirmed that you HAVE to replace the module to have the airbag system functional again.
