How little you know.

Go to the U.S. site.
I'll wait for you to remove your size 10 from your size 10. </TD></TR></TABLE>
I'm not saying that it does not exist, only that those pics are ohotoshops (or Artists Rendition) Look at the picture quality of the body of the car vs. the wheels in the moving pics. It is off by just a little bit.
Oh and I dont get the last line?

Noone said it WASN'T a photoshop. I posted pictures of the car and what it WILL look like on road as rendered by Gemballa themselves. I don't think anyone with better than 80/80 vision could deny that it's a photochop but good eye.
The last comment was waiting for you to remove your big foot from your big mouth.

Only five people are going to own something extremely rare that ushered in a new Honda Racing Car. Not to mention that the NSX-R has always been the biggest and badest machine to wear the red R badge.
To be honest, if I had half a mil laying around and I knew I wasn't going to drive this car, I'd buy it strickly as an investment. Only 5 are being made...5.</TD></TR></TABLE>
EXACTLY!

Do you mean that the NSX that is for sale in the show room is over priced? Is that what you meant?
I've been under the impression through many an article and video that for a 1/4 of the price (the NSX) you get a car that touches numbers in the Super Car realm. I thought the whole reason was to give the buyer a **** load of technology, quality materials, a reliable engine with a decent sprinkle of racing tech thrown in there for a good price? *shrug</TD></TR></TABLE>
i couldnt agree with you more

Re: NSX-R GT!!!! the most expensive HONDA ever!!!! (Loccster)
If u think about it, Honda is not stupid, there is no reason for them to overprice an nsx 400,000 dollars more for some carbon fiber and have the same engine. Either the price is wrong or something is missing from the info.

Nope and nope. From AutoWeek, 4/11/2005:
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Honda’s flagship NSX-R sports car gets a race car treatment and a price tag to match. Due to the considerable changes to this year’s Japan Grand Touring Championship GT-500 NSX race car, Honda had to build five homologation NSX-R GT road cars to satisfy rules set by the governing body.
A cool ¥50 million ($466,600) is the price tag for this full carbon fiber-bodied road car, which features longer front and rear fascias and an F1-style scoop to direct air to the mid-mounted V6 engine. Production starts in August and, sorry, all five cars are already spoken for.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Re: ... or you are wrong. (ojas)
Does anyone have concrete evidence that it's NOT turbocharged? Auto mags have a bad habit of leaving out specifics.
I mean since the NSX-R GT is for homologation purposes it would seem obvious that the car should have a 3.0 liter twin turbo as the GT500 car. But then, there are GT300 NSXs with the 3.2 liter N/A engine also.
:shrugs:

I would assume it is not turbocharged. As far as I remember there was only one GT500 NSX team running the set-up you mentioned.

NUH UH!
If you look on the JGTC website, http://www.jgtcusa.net , all of the GT500 NSXs run the 3.0 liter turbocharched engine.

Not as of last season, maybe they are planning on it this season but that was a big deal last year. Honda going the turbo route. At least I am ALMOST positive that was last year.

As mentioned several times in this thread, it has the stock NSX-R engine. I’m almost certain that scoop has been an option on the NSX-R since 2002.

Well considering you can get the world's fastest car for a cool $125,000 plus or minus I'll stick with the Ultima GTR. 10.2 sec 0-100-0mph on Chevy LS2 motor and a Porshe 6spd tranny. It looks bad *** might I add and you have the option of making it left or right hand drive.

Re: Re: (MugenRSX-S27)
This thread is over, the pricing has been explained again and again. To sum it up, yes, lots of money. yes, its a purpose built car, no, you nor anyone you know will ever own one. end of discussion.

Re: (StorminMatt)
cmon please.... its not the matter of power, its the matter of technology and reliability and that does NOT mean that the NSX engine is not capable of taking more than 290HP, you can finely tune that engine up to over 500HP without getting any problems, What I mean is that the engine with its 290HP does NOT use its full capacity! Its still a supercar which kicks the **** out of many more expensive cars (on track) and still it is a cheap supercar. U get a lot for that money!
