Komori Yashiro 1/43 NSX
So there's a small but dedicated group of NSX memorabilia collectors that normally drive up prices for the exotic stuff on an exponential scale. Their collections literally span hundreds to thousands of models - with stuff like the Crystal NSX to ornate books that were only given to the development team. Fortunately, I managed to pick a up unicorn with a minimum of fuss. I've seen these go for 1k plus.
The artist is named Komori Yashiro and, from what I understand, were models of the actual NSXs of early model Japanese owners (Ferrari does this for their owners). They came with a Honda part number but were custom ordered and came with a serial number. The program only lasted a short time (maybe even less than a year). I've only seen formula red, sebring silver, and kaiser silver exteriors. The models aren't of particularly excellent quality but they were hand made and were scale models of real cars. No idea how many were produced but I've only seen three come up for sale.
The top pic is the one I purchased. The bottom is an example of all of the packaging and documentation it's supposed to come with.
