Default yet another header question..

So i was going to order a Toda header, but Mike informed that they will be on back order until late january..so my question is this..what other header should i consider that is readily available and is comaprable in build to the toda? i know theres smsp, hytech, to name a couple but i really didnt want to spend more than a grand on a header..maybe its just me my setup that its going on is a built 2l, built head P&P with skunk2 stage 2 cams, and a hondata s100fur tuning. gimme some recommendations for headers for this setup and where i can get them.

i know im going to get "do a search" but i did and didnt feel like reading through 5 plus pages of topics matching "header" and none of the titles seemed to address my questions.
thanks

It would seem that with your plans, the SMSP header would best fit the work you will be doing. I think the header dave makes it designed to take the most advantage of the head work and higher displacement. it is worth the few extra bucks, which with the plans you listed is not a whole lot more than you want to spend and the overal gains would be more significant

Spoon, Hytech, SMSP, JDM 4-1, DC JDM 4-1, New Comptech...or wait for the TODA. The toda header is real nice.

SMSP. Why cut corners or rush on a header for an application such as the one you are describing? A "built" 2-liter with the work and parts you describe warrants the use of high-quality header, and SMSP is second-to-none.

toda/smsp/hytech... waiting is part of this industry.

If you don't want to wait a few weeks (not even a month) for a Toda header then I don't think SMSP or HyTech are even a consideration. I hear Pep Boys has some APC headers in stock LOL.

Seriously though, good things do come to those who wait. SMSP I believe has a specific 2.0L VTEC header that would likely do better than most out there on your setup.
