Hi,

On my friends typeR..the rear brake lights come one when he launches and peels out a bit..why is that? And at the track when hes going about 85ish his lights turn on for like a split second and turn off. Is this because of ABS?

Not sure how the ABS would correspond to the launch...

 

Me neither...i have no clue why that would happen so I thought maybe ABS..anybody know why?

 

Sorry, but I haven't heard of this problem before... Sounds like bad wiring maybe?

can you elaborate on that one Punk?

 

The brake light switch is triggered by the pedal (obviously). If this switch is faulty (or overly sensitive) The vibrations of a hard launch could cause the switch to turn on. I can't explain the speed specific brake lights though.

 

Have him check the brake fluid. Same thing happened to my friends GSR, and it was because of the brake fluid.
