VTEC problem
Is your car properly warmed up? More specifically, oil temp/pressure must be up. If you are in a very hard corner, it is possible VTEC won't engage. If this happens when the engine/oil is fully warmed up, it is probably something else.
Check your oil first. Then check any of the wires going into either the VTEC solenoid or the VTEC pressure switch, if any of those have a loose contact, they may not work under fast acceleration (usually first and second gear).
I had a problem once v-tech never engaged, so i took it to the dealer and they said that my timing needed to be adjusted, so they fixed it no problems since then, but the oil temp and oil level reply`s are very correct always check those
