TYPE-R vs. PRELUDE: friendly drag competition
Socal peeps what do you think? Fontana is opening up again Jan. 12&13th.
How about we invite the preludes over for a FRIENDLY drag competition. My good friend has a prelude and we were thinking this would be fun. Planning on the 13th.
Now i don't want to hear the usual...type-r not made for drag...or stuff like that.
Think of it as an excuse to met up again. Last time i was out there i met a couple of cool prelude guys. Also, 1/4 mile times somewhat close so it should be fun.
My friend is going to post the same on preludeonline.com so let me know if this is something you guys would be interested in.
Just remember...FRIENDLY.

yeah, but hopefully some modded ludes show up to make it interesting.

can you give me the details on the event. what time it starts, what time to be there, how much it costs, how many runs to expect to get, what is the elevation, is it better than carlsbad? etc etc. ive been to carlsbad this past summer and got a best of 15.0@94 without being able to stay on the big cam going to 2nd gear, and 40psi tire pressure. ive since learned to do it about 80% of the time, and hope with the cold weather to be able to get into the 14s.

Just checking interest for now but it looks like its a go so far.
Racing is on sat and sun. but the event is scheduled for sun. the 13th of jan.
Its best to get thre early and if you stay there till the end approx. 9+ runs poss.
I think its only $20 if i remember.
Sonic..not taking the R?

preludes are just too damn heavy...
my bet is on the R.
jason- who likes the prelude, but has never seen a stock one run a 14.xx in the 1320

It would be friendly until every one started to race. My brother has a 5G lude. He hates to lose, but he does. The lude is a good race for a GSR. Why don't you invite RSX owners or civic si's????Not really....
What about the WRX????That would be some good races, wouldn't be friendly though....
