Type R Chassis Code?

What's the chassis code for the Type R in japan?
is it DC5R or just DC5

Depends on the year ITR you're speaking of.

dc2 for 94-2001
late 2001(2002) and up DC5 doesnt matter it's itr or not theyare all DC5

well they both are DC2

i dont know beyond the 2 ^^

The RSX is a DC5
The new Integra R in Japan is a DC5R

so would i be better off identifying the itr as a DC2?
instead of DC5?

the old ITR's are DC2R's
the new ones DC5R's
nothing confusing at all about it

DOHC VTEC previous generation integras from ?? to 2001 - DC2. The US integra type-r (not to be confused with the 'new' rsx/integra type r that we don't have!!) is commonly reffered to as the dc2-r.

The RSX = DC5. The 'new' integra type-r (rsx is still called integra except in the US.... and canada?) which looks like the RSX you see around the states is commonly referred to as the DC5-R. Get it?
