O.k I did some searching and i found two. Which one is the correct way.

tightening

loosening

thats the head torque sequence. the first one is definitely NOT right. the second is close but not sure about 7,8,9,10.

i think loosening is just the opposite of tightening. so once you figure out the correct tightening sequence, you will be fine. make sure you only tighten/loosen in small increments.

helms is your friend.

you are "supposed" to use a crisscross pattern when tightening as per helms...

however it probably doesnt really matter as long as you spread it out evenly across the head and go in small increments.

Loosening I use an impact and just have at it, tightening, i go by what the helms says.

Did i mess up anything? Can i just loosen and re torque them again. The motor has not been turned over. I have brand arp head bolts and oem head gasket too.

So this is the right way?

as I said, if you do increments, it shouldnt be a problem. the whole point to torqueing the head down a certain way is to get a nice even flat seal and avoid warping the head. if the motor is step decked or o ringed you can have problems if you dont do this properly. if the motor is stock or close to stock you will probably be fine.
