My brother Drives a 94 GSR ( I drive a Type-R, just to make this ITR specific). He is getting a soft code. We managed to check it today and he counted it as code 43.

43 is listed as
"Fuel Supply System defective or malfunctioning fuel supply system"

Is this the same for OBD 1 and 2 and normally a soft code? Anyone have a suggestions what is going bad in the fuel supply system? It is sort of a big system to be guessing at (Fuel pump, injectors, Filter, Pressure Regulato . . .)

Probably the 02 sensor.

 

I assume it's the same for OBD1 and OBD2..

Is the car running fine, aside from the CEL? Checked/changed the fuel filter at all? Or the pump?

 

Car is running just fine with the CEL showing.

Here is what we have done so far that seems to have worked. I had him reset the ECU and then take the gasp cap off and put it back on with 3-4 clicks. No CEL since. We shall see if it comes back. O2 sensor and fuel pump and map sensors are next guesses.
