Re: Takata harness $340 !!! (B2FiNiTY)
I just throw them in my car around the Holiday to give the Red Recaros that Christmas feeling
(I don't do the above and don't have a cage or harnesses, just felt like PWing )

-Dave, who, if he did order green dino belts, would order them from Dave or Mike and not hackspeed.

I'd buy these and a 6-point cage over OEM belts and an "x-brace" anyday. Overpriced? How much is your life worth to you?

"Green in color and only harness rated to 340 MPH and has FIA aproval number"
For when we the press the RED button
I wouldn't get one of these without a rollcage...Think that price is kinda high too.

No one is argueing OEM belts vs 6 point cage/5-6 point harness anyways, but I used to have a cage in my car and 5 point harnesses, now have OEM belts. It *is* a street car after all.

Re: Takata harness $340 !!! (D)
the only possible nice thing about these harnesses.... they have a L and R indicator on them, for you know, when you forget which arm is which.
oh yeah, and they're incredibly overpriced. i almost ******* forgot about that.

Re: Takata harness $340 !!! (Jsracingintegra)
There is nothing (other than no harness) more dangerous than a 4 pt harness.
Let me explain:
With a standard 3 pt the body flexes at the waist and is held in place by the lap belt at the hips.
With a 5 or 6 pt the body does not flex at the waist and is kept from sliding under the lap belt by the sub straps. Sliding under the lap belt can cause major injuries to spleen, pancrease liver lungs etc and is often mortal in effect.
A 4 pt belt does not allow the body to flex at the waist yet has no anti-submarine features. A severe frontal accident with a 4 pt will most assuredly result in severe, possibly fatal internal injuries.
I would much rather have a 3pt than a 4 pt.
Regards,
Alan
Just cause its JDM doesn't mean its good!

Re: Takata harness $340 !!! (00R101)
are the sparco seat belts 4 point? i forgot...
anyhow i had a head on collision accident with a cadillac a few years back, made contact about 55 mph. The seat belt held me perfect within my seat. I had some slack for the part that went across the chest? i could be wrong.. but my head swung foward and bent the steering wheel, 4 points can withstand some ****...

Re: Takata harness $340 !!! (Smitdog)
i think these are of good quality, but the color... and the price!! wtf ! sabelt is the best if you ask me. reasonable price and great build quality. i mean this is our lives, im not gonna drop a few grand on rims, and be a few dollars cheap on life protecting objects.

Re: Takata harness $340 !!! (Mr.Sha007)
i'm partial to schroth over sabelt. the camlock is much nicer with less chance of accidental release and the padding behind the metal hardware is nice.

the anti-sub belt does not physically stop your body from going down, it is supposed to keep the lap belts secured to your hips by not letting them ride up. i just dont understand why so many people would spend so much on this belt? there are so many other great 3" belts out there that are much cheaper then this.
