Default Is stroking cheating?

I'm going to build my ITR (once I get it) via the n/a route. I would like to get as much power as the motor can handle while still being a daily driver.

I would like to hear from all of you ITR owners on whetther you think strokign to 2.0 liters is cheating when going all motor. If you hit high numbers with a daily driver while sticking with 1.8, will people have more respect for you?

Haha, parents working on the deal right now. But anyways, I'm not building it for anyone else. I am building it because it is an awesome looking car with lots of potential. I would just like to be respected since lots of people already won't since my parents are buying it for me.

So if your parents are buying it, and that cuts down on respect supposedly.....

Who is paying for these expensive mods? Parents?

No respect.

I believe that the standard response here would be...learn to drive it first, go to a driving school and you'll be amazed at how much potential the car has in its stock configuration.

You know what would get you respect (if that's what you're after)?

Learn to drive your car on the road course.

Leave it stock until you can out-drive the car.

That would earn you respect, since you wouldn't be just another dumb, magazine-reading tool who wants to build his engine for "as much power as it will handle".

No, I will be buying all mods and paying for insurance on my own.

Don't have an RX-7, I was going to get one for my 16th b-day until my dad talked to some of the dealers he calls on and found out about their reliability. Used my user name I use in all forums so I don't have to worry about remember 7 diffferent names and passwords.

If people respect you for wehat kinda car you dricve and how you got it then you getting respect for the wrong kinda people.

Do what makes you happy, if you do it good and be real, respect will come from the right people...thats all that matters.

BTW...go 2 liters, youll love the torque

I palnned on driving on the tracks in ATL as they are the closest one to me, and not doing anything to it until I have enough to do it right and am comfortable with the car.

Just in case you're not familiar with the term.

Drag strip = drag strip

Track = road course
