I hope some good comes of this as well, and really hope it hasn't been stripped. I never quite understood the facination with doing something like this. Security informed me that they couldn't really find anything, but that they are looking in to something that may be suspicious.

Thanks creed86. I appreciate that.

I may have a lead from the security footage. Does anyone of know of a person that drives a black integra or RSX with a type R spoiler and black rims in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area or in NC? The security folks noticed this car driving around the parking lot near mine that looked exactly like the type R, but was black.

I've seen this car around town too. Any information you guys may have to offer is appreciated!

Carolinahondas is full of morons. Half of the members on there are probably thieves themselves.

Will be on the lookout though.

Both statements are accurate, but his odds would be better on there.

I take it, they couldn't make out the plates in the video? usually servailance vid's quality blows. See if they can even go back a day or two to see if they came back more than once...just a thought. :/ Best of luck to you.

Haha, you guys are funning regarding the reference to Carolinahondas. I have posted on there as well.

I appreciate those who offered to be on the look out!

@Tyrant_007...this is a good idea. I'll suggest this to the security folks. I believe I remember seeing that car the camera caught in the back of the parking during the past couple of weeks. I just started seeing this car too and didn't see it yesterday or today.
I think they're going to ask me to look at the footage to confirm.

It is really is sad to see all the stories about stolen Type Rs. I used to obsess over this car when I didn't have one but never thought of stealing from someone.

I've had a chance to view the snap shot the security camera took of the car they are investigating. It is actually a black integra (looks like it had a moon roof), maybe 94-97 body style with a type R spoiler, black rims with chrome rings.

If anybody sees a car that matches this description in NC, please let me know as well. (brxbomerz02@yahoo.com). I'm not jumping to any conclusions, but just interested in any possible leads. I'm also offering a monetary award to anyone who is able to help me find the car in good condition.

Thanks again guys.

Today, my car was stolen for the parking lot where I work in Chapel Hill, NC between 11:45 and 1:30pm EST. Here are the details.

1998 Integra Type R
Badge #733
132,xxx miles
Specialized UNC licence plates
Passenger side decal was peeling a little.

If anyone sees parts being sold or even a 98 Type R being sold in the Southeast, please let me know ASAP (brxbomerz02@yahoo.com). I will take care of anyone who is able to help me find it in good condition.

Also, if anyone has pointers where I could post this so that more people can view, please let me know.
Thanks,
Jasper
