Stepper pulley and CEL
I know this is a FI question, but it is ITR specific. I just had a Motorvations stepper pulley installed for the jrsc on my 98 ITR. About a day later I got a CEL. Before I could get the car in to get it checked out the CEL went away. I never noticed any difference in the way the car ran, but I didn't push it too hard while the CEL was on. Anyone have an idea as to what caused this? should I be worried?

What else did you get to help support the extra boost from Jim's Pulley?
Hondata? BTC? 440cc? If you just slapped on the pulley with out a standalone or no bandaid’s I'd expect major detonation problems. What code is the cell giving you?

[QUOTE]What else did you get to help support the extra boost from Jim's Pulley?
I have MAP controller, high pressure 255 l/hr fuel pump, and BTC set at 10 clicks (I understand that to mean my timing will be retarded one degree for each pound of boost). It was set at 6 clicks when I was running 5-6 psi, and I never had any detonation problems.
I've never had a CEL before. Is there someway I can get the code without taking it in to the shop? Now that the CEL is gone, can I still find out what tripped it?

as long as the ecu was not reset, the CEL code will still be stored in the ecu. go to c-speedracing.com to find out how to check the code. good luck
