Default Sqeaking in reverse

I noticed when I reverse the car, there is a light squeaking noise. I was told it could be the brakes but the thing is it even squeaks when I let it roll back in neutral without even touching the brakes. Can anyone help me figure out what this problem might be?

Is it a squeek or more a high pitched whine? Cuz if its the whine ure hearing, then you have nothing to worry about. All Hondas (i think but dont crucify me for making this generalization) whine when accelerating or decelerating in reverse. Not sure why but im sure someone here does.

this just sounds like your rear pads rubbing the rotors. I dont think its *supposed* to do that, but I think Ive seen that several of us in here have had this *problem*. mine has been doing this for years.

It can also be a resonant hum coming from the rear brakes. It is nothing to worry about and is just an annoying NVH issue.

You can't. All cars I have driven are like that. Is this your first car?

Anyway, if it's the whining noise... It's natural.

I'd just sell the car and get one without brakes, it definatly wont do it then.

This is my second car. I had a 2000 GSR that never had this problem. It might have squeaked a few times while hitting the brakes, but never had a high pitched whine when I just let it roll back in reverse. It also whines sometimes when I turn the steering wheel slowly. My ITR is not a daily driver. Could that have anything to do with it? I just want to get rid of the sound if possible.
