Default Spoon N1 Exhaust

I was wondering, how loud is the Spoon N1 exhaust - I have heard that it is very loud. I'm looking for something better looking and a little quieter than my Tenabe. Any suggestions? I really like the look of the Spoon but if it's crazy loud than I don't know if I could do it.....Thanks!

Umm..if you're gonna put parts on your car,you should atleast know how to spell the companies name correctly too. Tanabe=Tenabe

i think the spoon isn't that loud, and honestly it's one of the ugliest exhausts i've ever seen. you have way more options than just spoon or tanabe if you're looking for a good exhaust system.

i love the way spoon n1 looks...i can never justify having a 3 inch tip or more because the exhaust tubing isn't even 3 inches the type ones and the apex n1's have a ricey look

Spoon n1 is very great sounding. Not as loud as everyone claims it is but if you have never had a loud exhaust it will be very loud to you.

are you speaking from experience? or just hear say? i had one for the longest time, it really wasn't all that loud. Quietter than the apex'i n1, and MUCH quieter than the buddy club spec 3.

Is other N1 exhausts loud to you? If so, then the Spoon N1 is loud, if not, I am sure you can live with it. Just make sure you run a cat. with it!!

thanks for the compliment joe!!!

it isn't that loud unless you really are at full open throttle. but as ITR607 puts it, "damn your spoon n1 is loud", you may eventually go deaf inside the cabin...in all honesty, it's tolorable...

kepani-who loves his spoon n1

My Tanabe Medallion is at an unbearable level of noise.
What catback is the loudest out there?

BC spec 3 and T1R are probably at the top of the list.

The Zigen Fireball rear section sounds and looks great. Not too loud at all, and you can't beat it for the price. You can probably find it for around $250 shipped.

BC Spec III

I've heard the Spoon N1 on a DC2R on a track day recently. It is fairly loud providing you have the b-pipe, HF cat and headers. But if only the axle-back I think it would be fairly quiet compared to a full cat back eg. BC Spec III, Apexi N1 etc

If your concerned about the noise level on the N1 you can always run the silencer with it for street driving and run it open for the track. I ran my N1 without the silencer at VIR and thought it was damn loud(Willard may be willing to back me up on this),I wouldn't want to daily drive it without the silencer. As for the looks stealth tip.

i run my spoon n1 without a silencer as a daily driver. as long as i keep at minimal throttle around 5-0, i don't ever get hassled :crossingfingers: :knockonwood:

the sound is WAY overrated...the reason why it is not as noticable is because the tone is so deep rather than "tinny" and high pitched.
