Will there be more? That was seriously some fun stuff watching the results come in! Haha

How about a Great Intake Test? I think it would be much easier to do as well as faster. As I said, I can contribute a DC D.A.C. normal intake and the +16 HP/+17 TQ "Magic" CAI extension

Also, I suggest this time a DynoJet dyno is used, and we use Winpep to compare all the dyno charts versus each other...it will make the work MUCH easier on the people putting it together and make the results alot more accuarte when comapring.

To me an intake test seems nearly pointless. There is no way to simulate on a dyno the conditions of driving on the road unless you have some type of a wind tunnel. Until then an intake that performs well on a dyno may make power very differently than on the road and vice versa. Especially in the cold air V. short ram types.

I like mine short and hot for the record.

True Gordan, the SCC intake test many years ago tried to do dyno runs, and then street simulations to test the two different conditions. That was actually a pretty good test considering who did it ........

And as far as another test ..... I don't have another $25 to throw into the pot like I did for the header test ........

Let do the same test with a ITR with some bigger cams in it!! Then we will see which header is best for heavily modified ITR.

True, but if you look at my other post on the "magic" intake..its easy to see that other things such as length and pipe diameter make a huge differance...not only the placement of the filter.

No. You could put the filter 1" from the TB or 30000000" from it. You just put a box/tube around the filter and attach another pipe to that which would be the pipe you would tune in length/diameter.

Well I guess I'll Chime in

First Its going to be done on a DynoJet Dyno
Second Im not taking ANY Donations, Im doing this because I wanted too
Third the only thing people can do is, If they want to, Send in an intake for the testing, But I already have
Mugen Intake, ARC Intake, AEM CAI, Iceman CAI, Comptech Shortram, Comptech drop in, K&N Drop in, Stock box, Comptech Icebox. Also there will be mixing and matching of parts between ARC box with stock tub and ARC tube, Comptech box with ARC tube, Stock, and Comptech tube. Etc.

All done on a relatively stock 2000 ITR, Im planning on doing it around first or second week of January

The icebox is a good example of a filter kit that i cant see performing as well as some others on the dyno, but may excel in the realworld.

Mike~ You need to find one of those WhirlWind filters ( ....I mean superchargers) that sells for $40 bucks in the back of magazines. It may just surprise us all.
